Getting started

What is Mocho?

A 30-second daily check-in app for adults whose brain runs differently. Track mood, focus, meds status, sleep, and one ADHD-tuned tag — and Mocho keeps a private log of your check-ins on your iPhone.

Is Mocho a medical device?

No. Mocho is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, screen for, or treat ADHD. It's a private journaling tool. Always consult a qualified clinician for medical questions.

How does the daily check-in work?

Open the app. Tap your mood (5 emojis). Tap focus level (1-5). Tap meds status (taken/skipped/N/A). Adjust sleep slider (auto-filled from Apple Health if you grant permission). Optionally tap one ADHD tag. Save. Done in 30 seconds.

What ADHD tags are available?

Eight: Hyperfocus, RSD hit, Productive AM, Switching tasks hard, Overwhelmed, Social win, Body doubled, Low stim. You can pick one tag per check-in or none — both are fine.

Subscription

How much does Mocho Pro cost?

$4.99/month or $29.99/year (saves 50%). Cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Subscriptions.

What does Mocho Pro unlock?

Pro removes the lock on the Insights tab and the streak milestones beyond day 7. Free Mocho includes the daily check-in, Apple Health sleep sync, and history. We add new Pro features over time — your subscription will get them automatically.

How do I cancel?

iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Mocho → Cancel. We do not charge cancellation fees and you keep Pro features until the end of your billing period.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open Mocho → Settings → Restore Purchases. Apple will return your active subscription to the new device. You must be signed into the same Apple ID.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are processed by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com within 14 days of purchase.

Privacy & data

Where is my data stored?

Locally on your iPhone, in Apple's SwiftData. Mocho does not run a server, does not collect any data from you, and does not use third-party analytics or crash reporting. Your check-ins never leave your device.

How do I delete all my data?

Uninstalling Mocho deletes everything (your data is only on your device). Or: Settings → Delete all my data → confirm.

How do I export my data?

Settings → Export my data writes a JSON file with your entries that you can save to Files, AirDrop, or share with anyone you choose.

Does Mocho send anything to a server?

No. Mocho's V1 release does not transmit any data off your device. We do not use Sentry, PostHog, Firebase, or any third-party tracking SDK. The only network activity is Apple's StoreKit handling your subscription, which Apple processes — we never see your payment information.

Apple Health

Why does Mocho ask for HealthKit permission?

To auto-fill your sleep hours during daily check-in (read-only) and to write your daily mood as a State of Mind entry into Apple Health on iOS 18+ (write-only). Both happen on your device. You can deny permission and enter sleep manually.

Where is HealthKit data stored?

In Apple Health, on your device. Mocho never sees your HealthKit data leave your iPhone, because it stays inside Apple Health's local database. You can revoke permission anytime: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Mocho.

Troubleshooting

The app crashes or freezes

Email joyandbiz@gmail.com with your iPhone model, iOS version, and what you were doing. Mocho does not send automatic crash reports — we only know about issues you tell us about.

The Insights tab shows "Coming soon"

The Insights tab is being expanded in future updates. In V1 it shows a coming-soon message and a Pro upsell. Your daily check-ins are still saved and visible in History.

I got billed by mistake

Refund through Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. We process refund requests sent to our email within 24h.
